PROJECT CANCELLED Reported December 29, 2025; the tower had remained vacant for about a decade before AHS’s acquisition in 2024.
AHS Properties acquired and rebranded the former “Big Ben” tower after it had stood vacant and unfinished for about a decade; reporting states the prior owner, Al Yaqoub Group, faced delays and conflicts, fell behind on debt payments to Commercial Bank of Dubai, and the lender took control before selling the property to AHS. This is a historical project-level matter involving the predecessor owner, not evidence that AHS itself defaulted; the reported completion target for AHS Tower was still a future commitment as of the research date.
DELIVERY DELAY Original commitment reported 2024-01-24 (late 2025); status current through 2026-09-25; research date 2026-10-14.
Casa Canal, developed by AHS Properties, was reported as due for delivery in late 2025, but a source current through 25 September 2026 still described the project as under construction; this documents apparent non-delivery beyond the original commitment, although no revised handover date or explanation was found.
